Crazy Girl-Sing Me A Story
Hi you guys!
I wanted to tell you about this awesome project I just participated in! A few weeks ago I was contacted by an organization called Sing Me A Story. It's an organization that brings the creativity of children who have fallen victim to circumstance to life through music! There's a website full of stories that children in need write. Songwriters can go to the website and choose a story to turn into a song. Once the song is written, the songwriter can record and upload it to the website. The song can be downloaded as a donation and the proceeds go back to Sing Me A Story and the organization the child in need belongs to! The man that founded Sing Me A Story, Austin, had a recording booth set up at the Hoxeyville Music Festival last weekend. So a few musicians that were at the festival were able to record their song in a little white tent behind the main stage. So between thunderstorms and main stage acts, I was able to record a song I'd written the night before for a little girl named Eliza in Kansas City! I was honored to be a part of this beautiful thing and you can be too! Go to the link below and download a brand new Rachael Davis song for a good cause! Check out some of the other tunes while you're there! Eliza and I thank you!

I'll also be collaborating with other uke players for some workshops!
There will be something for everyone! So if you've got a ukulele in your closet that's you got for Christmas or if you're a seasoned player and would like to learn some new techniques, then Midwest Uke Camp is for you! Often Injurious Aficionado
Happy opening day, my fellow baseball lovers!
We have officially survived the off season!
I don't know what you'll be doing later, but I'll be sitting in my backyard drinking a Highlife and listening to WEEI Red Sox radio!
I wrote this to commemorate this happiest of spring days!
No longer does winter howl in the breadth, sweeping silence across epochs of resident revelries
The Day is Opening
And we are born anew through gates of iron and concrete
Shuffling into constructed chasms of credence among fellow disciples of statistics and symmetry
We will spend the fairest of numbered days praying at the alter of insurmountable odds
The time has come
When the votary's utopian heart, rife with desire and replete with the promise of a new season can, once again, sparkle like a Diamond in the sun
Hope Springs Eternal
For all who come, year after year, to find themselves
In the house where heroes abide
Where miracles are forged in the fires of foolish beliefs
Where generations overlap leaving no space between bygones and tomorrow
This is the land of the free and the home of the brave
Where they will always play ball! m.soundcloud.com
